All of our Educational Workshops are One on One to ensure each individual learns without pressure from others. Our sessions are held in our studio located at 188 Mary St., Port Perry in a relaxed environment with plenty of hands practical application. Our award winning photographer Spring Reilly will teach you tips and tricks to improve your photography skills.
INTRO TO PHOTOGRAPHY
This course is perfect for new camera owners or anyone who has a camera and hasn’t really figured out how to use it yet.
You will learn your camera’s settings, exposure factors for the perfectly lit image, and composition “rules” for composing images with impact and interest.

LEVEL 1-PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS
This course teaches:
Camera menu settings, resolution and file settings
How to expose your image, Focus and Metering modes
What an f/stop is and why we choose them
Shutter speed and how it affects our image
ISO, what it means and how it affects our image
How to compose for portrait, landscape, street and travel photography

LEVEL 2-PHOTOGRAPHY-LET’S GET CREATIVE, with On Location Outing
This course teaches:

Depth of Field-how to blur your backgrounds keeping your subject in focus

Controlling Motion Effects
Creating Light Trails on a Highway/Street at night

PORTRAITURE-HOW TO POSE & LIGHT
This course teaches;
How to pose and light women, men and groups to flatter various body types and facial imperfections
How to interact with a subject to get them to relax and trust you
How to direct a subject “hands off”
The importance of a Model Release Form
We will use off camera flash using speedlights, and strobes with umbrellas and softboxes We also use natural light and reflectors to modify the light.
A Model will be included in this course.
